No need to sign up, just join us in room 314 of the Christian Education Building.
Mom and Dad, we have stuff for you to do on Wednesday nights too! Check out our Midweek Manna page on our website.
Safe Sanctuary Policy
God calls us to make our churches safe places, protecting children and other vulnerable persons from any kind of abuse. God calls us to create communities of faith where children and adults grow safe and strong.
At Blair Road UMC, we take safety very seriously. In fact, we consider it one of our primary responsiblities in ministry.
In response to this committment we have Safe Sanctuary Policies that reduce the risk of abuse.
Key Points of Our Policy Include:
1. Background checks on all persons that work with children or youth.
2. Two people in every room. Where not possible, a monitor will be present and the door will remain open.
3. Staff is trained in CPR and First Aid.
4. Persons working with children or youth must be regularly attending for 6 months.
5. All children and youth ministry staff will be trained in policies.
Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes a child...welcomes me"
Matthew 18:5
"If any of you put a stumbling block before one of these little ones...it would be better for you if a great millstone were fastened around your neck and you were drowned in the depth of the sea." Matthew 18:6
